Latona M

Last year while browsing Pinterest, a picture jumped into my eye.
My picture that was used as a business card!
It was shared and liked by thousands and it had won many many awards internationally.

I contacted the design firm and asked to be credited (sorry to be fussy but I gotta protect my business too!) and interesting enough, it was a design company in Japan doing lots of clever designs.

I am probably biased being a Japanese, but I LOVE the high quality and standard of any designs in Japan. You will see lots of pretty, interesting, cute and innovative packaging designs, stationary designs, architecture, etc...

Latona Marketing is one of those companies, doing clever designs in Japan.

Sorry, this is not supposed to be an advertisement for Latona Marketing, but I fell in love with many of their designs, I can't help but to say good things about them.

Anyway, what I wanted to say was that it's interesting how businesses, internationally, connect.
How lucky am I to have made a connection to such a superior design company by finding 1 single picture on Pinterest :)

"Picked from the garden" style wedding flowers at Montsalvat

I've had the opportunity to work with THE dream bride for this wedding.
She basically showed me the pictures of the dresses and told me to do whatever I liked with the seasonal flowers. :)
Imagine these pretty & bright florals against deep navy dresses... Gorgeous!!

Mismatched buttonholes for the bridal party and parents

Picked from the garden bouquets with seasonal flowers including David Austin roses, tulip, delphinium, succulents and mint

Colourful picked from the garden bouquets

Pretty mauve wedding at Balgownie Estate!

This was such a gorgeous wedding at Balgownie Estate, on a very warm, bright autumn day.
Balgownie is always stylish and elegant - it's such a pleasure to be located so close to all the stunning venues in the Yarra Valley!

For this particular wedding, we used shangri-la roses, Sweet Juliet roses, lisianthus, lavender and dusty miller.

It's obvious enough but I am really feeling the importance of being a good customer. I mean I always am (hehe) but if you are royal and polite, you become an important customer, the suppliers will go out of their way to get something for you. In this case, we had a hiccup with getting the exact mauve roses we wanted to use, so I went to the Magic Rose Gardens (in Healesville) and they supplied over 300 stems of Shangri-la roses on the same day. How great is that! Magic Rose Gardens is my very favourite supplier for their superior quality roses and fantastic service, and they will always be my favourite!
It's so important to choose any vendors that will go out of their way, and also gets their supply from a supplier that will go out of their way too. It's a whole team work - not within one business, but from one bussiness to the other, and to the client.

Anyway, enough of my stories - this wedding was so pretty and romantic :) We used amazing 7 buckets of rose heads which is about 300 heads of roses to use as petals for the isle. It was very full and beautiful!

For table flowers, we used the same flowers as the bouquets. :)

Congratulations to M&G!!

Bright and cute wedding flowers for a wedding at Melba Estate!

Have you been wondering what that mysterious hedge on the corner of Maroondah hwy and Melba Hwy is....? Well, that's Melba Estate and they are opening to public very soon!!
It is a STUNNING venue with a huge beautifully maintained garden, and a rich history to fascinate you. There is an awe-inspiring oak tree (could be the oldest in Australia!) which you could get married under, and several different sections in the garden that will be perfect for photo shoots!
You must check them out :)

I am fortunate enough to be the closest florist to the Melba Estate and was very lucky to help a couple getting married at Melba Estate with their flowers!
It was very pretty, bright and textural mix of flowers.
Congratulations to J&L!!
